About TPL

TPL Corporation is a Perth-based exploration and resource development company.

The company has an extensive coal exploration project in the Canning Basin, in Western Australia's north-west.  The project has over 8,000km2 of tenure under grant and application throughout the Fitzroy Graben, in the north of the Canning Basin.

The Fitzroy Graben is a deep trough of sedimentary rocks over 100km wide and up to 15km in depth, TPL's exploration falls within the central and eastern parts of the Graben.  Within the Fitzroy Graben is the very promising coal-bearing Lightjack Formation with over 1000km of potential strike.  The project's strategic location allows for the shipping of coal to potential overseas markets, 6 to 9 days closer than export ports on the east coast.

Apart from embarking on active coal exploration within the Canning Basin TPL is also reviewing other exploration opportunities to grow shareholder wealth.  The company has also secured application tenure within the Galilee Basin, Queensland, an emerging thermal coal basin with a developing large resource base and planned infrastructure.

The Company’s growth strategy is currently focussed on reviewing potential high quality coal opportunities in Mongolia.  Mongolia is still relatively underexplored, contains world class coal provinces and neighbours the rapidly growing Asian commodity market in particular China.

TPL originated from Terraplanet Limited, a telemarketing company.  In May 2008 the company, after reconstruction and recapitalisation, expanded into an internet-based marketing business and mineral exploration, in particular coal.

TPL Corporation is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (code: TPL).
